Client Background & Overview
Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design is an internationally renowned studio specializing in high-end yacht design, architecture, and luxury real estate.
With a multidisciplinary in-house team of nearly fifty professionals, Sinot creates bespoke design experiences in constant collaboration with clients, shipyards, and industry partners. Their work is known for its meticulous attention to detail, artistic vision, and the ability to translate ambitious ideas into tangible, world-class concepts.
Despite their global reputation and extensive design capabilities, Sinot lacked a digital portfolio that matched the quality and exclusivity of their brand. Their team needed a sophisticated, carefully curated online experience that would allow them to showcase their work to clients and partners. The goal was to transform their highly refined design language into a website that looked exceptional while remaining easy to manage internally.
Challenge
The main challenge centered on creating a fully customizable digital portfolio that preserved Sinot’s artistic identity without compromising on usability.
Their designers wanted a visually bold website with distinctive elements such as horizontal scrolling, which is not commonly implemented within WordPress environments. At the same time, the platform needed to be highly manageable, enabling Sinot’s team to update content independently without requiring technical expertise.
Another layer of complexity came from the communication flow. Throughout the project, we did not work directly with Sinot’s internal team. Instead, all discussions, feedback, and design interpretations were coordinated through the designer overseeing the project. This meant the technical execution had to precisely match a vision we received indirectly, requiring a high level of flexibility and attention to detail.
Execution
To bring Sinot’s design vision to life, we built the website using a flexible, block-based approach within WordPress.
Each block was designed to give the Sinot team freedom over layout, imagery type, formatting, typography, color, and positioning, allowing them to construct visually compelling pages without writing code. This gave them the ability to extend and evolve their portfolio while maintaining full brand consistency.
The signature horizontal scroll, one of the core elements of the design concept, was implemented using a combination of JavaScript and CSS. Integrating this feature within WPBakery posed the most significant technical challenge, as the builder was not naturally suited for such unconventional layouts. Through custom components, tailored CSS structures, and careful JavaScript interactions, we were able to recreate the client’s vision with fluidity and precision. Throughout the process, the designer acted as the bridge between design direction and technical execution, ensuring that the final product aligned closely with Sinot’s aesthetic expectations.
Result & Future Projects
The result was a visually striking digital portfolio that showcases Sinot’s designs with the elegance and precision they are known for.
The website is easy to manage, allowing their internal team to add new projects, update content, and adjust visuals without relying on external developers. The horizontal scrolling, refined layout options, and custom-designed blocks give the platform a distinctive look that mirrors the sophistication of Sinot’s work.
With the launch of the new website, Sinot now has a polished digital presence they can confidently present to clients, shipyards, and international partners. It serves as a powerful tool for storytelling, presenting design concepts, and reinforcing their position in the luxury yacht design and architecture market. The project is fully completed, and while our collaboration has concluded for now, the outcome continues to support their business development efforts.
