JMA is a Dutch environmental consultancy firm that has been supporting municipalities in achieving their sustainability and waste management goals.

Challenge
JMA needed a highly flexible system capable of adapting to the unique requirements of various municipalities.
However, no existing solution met these demands, presenting a significant challenge. To streamline their advisory workflows, they required a tailored planning tool designed specifically for their processes. Additionally, the firm’s advisory process involved custom work, making seamless workflow integration a key priority.
Execution
To meet JMA’s requirements, we collaborated closely with their team, translating municipal requirements into user stories, ensuring that the software could seamlessly integrate their advisory workflows.
Through weekly sprint meetings, we refined the tool based on real-time feedback, making adjustments to improve usability and efficiency.
Development focused on maintaining flexibility, allowing features to be toggled on or off for different municipalities. Throughout the project, we ensured that changes were implemented smoothly without accumulating excessive technical debt.
Our agile approach allowed us to deliver a scalable, customized solution that continues to evolve as new municipalities join the platform.
Result & Future Projects
We successfully delivered a tailored planning and advisory tool that provides a seamless workflow for municipalities.
As a result, more municipalities have adopted the solution, leading to continuous onboarding and expansion. The collaboration is ongoing, with new features being developed and improvements made to enhance efficiency.
Additionally, the team is working on expanding the Energiebox project, introducing a new corporate identity, and supporting JMA in managing their growing portfolio of products. With a strong foundation in place, future developments will focus on refining the platform to better serve municipalities and support evolving sustainability initiatives.
